Book borrowing.

Answer

Both staff and students can borrow up to 20 books at a time.

Most books in the library are borrowed for one week at a time.

If no-one places a hold request on the book during that week, the book will automatically renew for another week.  Any books on your account will keep being automatically renewed (up to a maximum of 26 times) until your course finishes or someone else requests the book.

Requested items will not be renewed and should be returned as soon as possible. The library does not charge fines but if requested items become overdue, your account will become blocked preventing you from borrowing further items. The block will be lifted when all overdue items are returned.

If you fail to return overdue items within 4 weeks of the due date you may be billed for replacement costs.

You can check your library account online if you're not sure when your books are due back. (See the link below)

If you want to use a book someone else has borrowed, place a hold on it using the instructions linked to below.
